Frequently asked questions

The things parents ask us most often. Can’t see what you’re looking for? Get in touch and we’ll happily answer.

How much does tuition cost? +

Our online group sessions are £30 per hour for GCSE and £35 per hour for A Level. Sessions are paid for a half-term at a time.

How are sessions delivered? +

All our tuition is online, using Google Classroom (the education version of Google Meet). That means no travelling, no rushed school-runs, and no faff with parking — your child simply logs in from home at their session time, and learns from an experienced UK teacher in a small group of up to 5.

When are sessions held? +

Sessions are one hour long and run on weekday evenings, typically starting between 5pm and 8pm. We’ll find a slot that works around your child’s school day and other commitments.

Can my child join mid-term? +

Yes — there are no restrictions on when your child can start. Whether you’re enquiring at the beginning of the academic year or partway through, we’ll find them the right group as soon as we can.

How soon can my child start? +

We add new students to groups as soon as we can. Sometimes that means starting the very next session; other times there’s a short wait until a suitable group has space. The sooner you get in touch, the sooner we can find your child the right place — so it’s worth filling in the form even if you’re not quite ready to start, and we’ll plan from there.

What if my child doesn’t get on with their tutor? +

Your first session with us is a free taster — no payment, no commitment. If it’s not the right fit, you simply walk away with no obligation. We work hard to allocate every student to the right tutor based on timing and capacity, and where possible we can explore alternatives.

Is the free taster really free? What’s the catch? +

It’s 100% free, no catches. We offer it because we know choosing a tutor is a big decision, and we want your child to experience a real session before you commit. The vast majority of families who try us go on to book regular sessions — but if it’s not for you, that’s absolutely fine.

Are sessions recorded? +

Yes, every session is recorded for two reasons. The first is safeguarding — alongside the fact that all our tutors are fully DBS checked, having a record of every session gives parents and our team complete peace of mind.

The second is for your child’s benefit: if they want to revisit a session to review tricky concepts or revise before an exam, they can ask their tutor and we’ll send it across.

Ready when you are

The first step is the smallest: just send us a message. We’ll take it from there.
